 1) Uninstall from the PC any Antivirus or Security Suite or any previous BitDefender version and restart the PC.2) Download the chosen BitDefender 2012 security product installer from the appropriate BitDefender direct link furnished above. 3) To expedite the installation process, disconnect the PC from Internet and begin installation by executing the downloade installer with administration privileges. 4) During installation process, choose "I want to evaluate this product" and enter your e-mail or a fake one. 5) Restart the PC if you are asked to do so (normally this occurs when malware is found when the PC is scanned by BitDefender during installation). 6) Renable Internet connection and update BitDefender. 7) Download the Patch by BOX 3.1 ("Box_BD2011_3.1.rar") from any of the furnished links to the Desktop. 8) Restart the PC in Windows Safe Mode (when the BIOS post ends, start taping the F8 key repeatedly) 9) Once in Safe Mode, extract to the Desktop the file "Box_BD2011.exe" from the compressed file containing the patch. 10) Right click "Box_BD2011.exe" and run it with Administrator privileges and click the "Year 2045" button and wait until you are advised that the patching process has finished successfully. 11) Now restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode and your BitDefender will be registered for more than 12000 days. by Polylak |

NB: Windows XP SP2 & SP3 users need to have .NET Framework 2.0 or above previously installed in your PC to run any BitDefender 2011 Security product and the Patch by BOX 3.1. However Windows Vista & Windows 7 users need to have .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 or above previously installed in their PCs to run them.
To ascertain if you already have .Net Framework installed in your PC, go to your "Control Panel" => "Add or remove programs" => Wait for the list of installed programs is loaded and then seach for "Microsoft .NET Framework".

BitDefender 2011 - Requirements and Procedures to be observed before installing: The following guidelines have been drafted by the undersigned based on the feedback submitted by Warez-BB members when installing BitDefender 2011 products. Therefore, reporting your experience regarding BitDefender 2011 products, either positive or negative, shall be highly appreciated.

1) BitDefender 2011 products require a medium to powerful PC to run smoothly. Therefore, the Minimal system requirements are the following: Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (SP2 for x64), Vista (SP1), Microsoft Windows 7 Available free hard disk space: 1 GB free space CPU: 800MHz processor Memory (RAM): 512 MB (Microsoft Windows XP) 1 GB (Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7) Software Requirements: .Net Framework 2.0 or above 2) Choose the suitable BitDefender 2011 product which is compatible with your Operative System, i.e.: BitDefender 32 bit for 32 bit Operative Systems or BitDefender 64 bit for 64 bit Operative Systems. 3) Have the appropriate NET.Framework which is suitable for your Operative System installed in your PC before installing BitDefender 2011. This is required to run the patch by BOX 3.1. If you want to determine that the appropriate NET.Framework is already installed in your PC, Go to Control Panel => Add or remove programs => Check there which NET.Framework you have installed. After installing NET.Framework restart your PC. 4) You cannot have two antiviruses (AV) installed at the same time. So if you are going to install a BitDefender 2011 product you must uninstall the AV you currently have, including old BitDefender versions or any BitDefender 2011 which you may have installed and found it is not working due to the fact that you have applied a different registration procedure from the one described in this post (search for and delete any traces of BitDefender and Softwin in your HDD and in your Windows registry). It isn't enough to disable the current antivirus because there could be AV services running in the background which could impair the correct installation and future performance of the new BitDefender. After uninstalling the old AV, restart your PC. 5) Same happens with firewalls. You cannot have two firewalls running at the same time because one would conflict with the other. Therefore, Windows Firewall must be disabled. After disabling it, restart your PC or in case of BitDefender Internet Security or Total Security, let BitDefender do it for you (tick the corresponding box when installing it). If you are going to install BitDefender Antivirus 2011 after its installation, patching and first update, it is recommended to re-enable Windows Firewall and adjust its settings to allow BitDefender to go into the net to perform futures updates. 6) Uninstall any other third party software which may conflict with the future services to be rendered by BitDefender (firewall, antispyware, antispam, etc.). After uninstalling such software, restart your PC. 7) Windows Defender (Microsoft AntiSpyware) can be kept running. 8) In case of Windows Vista and Windows 7, disable User Account Control (UAC). After disabling UAC, restart your PC. 9) After having made the above adjustments but before installing the chosen BitDefender 2011 product, don't forget to create a restoration point which can be useful in case anything may go wrong with BitDefender installation and/or its future operation. Naturally that you must have the appropriate tool for restoring: the ERD Commander Boot CD version which has to be compatible with your Operative System. If you are running Windows XP SP2 or SP3 you may alternatively use Hiren's Boot CD 10.4 and then invoke ERD Commander from it. FYI Hiren's Boot CD 10.4 was the last version which included ERD Commander (not ERD Commander Explorer). by Polylak |
BitDefender 2011 - Installation and Patching Instructions:Though the procedures are stated within the patch (click the "Read Me" button) and which you must read carefully and strictly follow before applying the patch, I have adapted and rephrased them for your easiest understanding as follows:

Installation and Patching Instructions for BitDefender 2011 Products: 1. Install your chosen BitDefender 2011 product using preferably the installer downloaded from the appropriate BitDefender direct links indicated above. During installation process:
After installation has finished DO NOT RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. 2. Download to your Desktop the Patch by BOX 3.1 from any of the above mentioned links. If you cannot download the Patch by BOX 3.1 because BitDefender 2011 is blocking or deleting it, then proceed as follows:
3. Restart your computer but boot it into Safe Mode (F8) using an account with Administrator's rights. To boot in Safe Mode in Windows XP, Vista or 7 proceed as follows:
(If BitDefender 2011 has already been installed, then see Note A below.) 4. Once in Windows Safe Mode, open the file "Box_BD2011_3.1.rar" located in your Desktop and extract the Patch ("Box_BD2011.exe") to said place. Double click the Patch to run it and execute it by clicking the "Year 2045" button or, in case you have not disabled UAC, right click on "Box_BD2011.exe" and choose "Run as Administrator" and then proceed as indicated. When patching has been finished a small window will pop-up telling you that the patching was successful. Now it is suggested that the patch be deleted because it will be detected as a virus/trojan by BitDefender, however IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE PATCH 3.1 BY BOX IS SAFE AND CLEAN. Such possible circumstance is called "FALSE POSITIVE". For an additional information regarding this issue, please refer to this link:
5. Now restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode. 6. Open Bitdefender GUI, click the "Registration" tab and in the "Registration Information" area check that your BitDefender 2011 product expires in about 13000 days. 7. Adjust your BitDefender 2011 product settings, update it and you are done. Afterwards and at your convenience, you may conduct a full scan of your computer but bear in mind that for a not newly formated PC the scanning may take a long time. 8. You may re-enable UAC if you so wish it. 9. If at a later stage you want to remove the effects of the Patch from your Bitdefender 2011 product, simply run again the Patch by BOX in Windows Normal Mode and click the "Uninstall" button. Said manoeuvre will convert the BitDefender 2011 product back to a 30-day trial version. 10. If for any reason you want to uninstall BitDefender, first you must eliminate the effects of the Patch. To that end, run the Patch in Windows Normal Mode and click the "Uninstall" button. When indicated by the Patch, restart the computer in Windows Normal Mode and try to update BitDefender and a window will pop-up advising you that BitDefender has reverted to Trial and now proceed to uninstall BitDefender. If you don't proceed as above, BitDefender will generate a bug report which nevertheless will not affect your PC at all, but most important, BitDefender will not allow you any future reinstallation by telling you that you are no longer able to evaluate the product because you have used up all the evaluation time. To solve said problem, please contact me through this post and I will guide you how to remedy the issue at stake. NOTE A: If any BitDefender 2011 product is already installed and registered with a valid key or with a key that has expired or that it is shown as invalid and you want to patch it to have it registered again or for a longer period of time, you have to restart your computer in Windows Safe Mode (F8) and then run the Patch using an account with Administrator's rights and click the "Year 2045" button. Once patching has been finished you have to restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode and you are done. BitDefender Emergency Rescue CD:BitDefender Rescue CD (Freeware) is capable to scan and disinfect all existing hard drives before your operating system starts.
You should use BitDefender Rescue CD any time your operating system is not working properly because of virus infections. That usually happens when you don't use properly your antivirus product or it is not adequately configured.
The update of the virus signatures is made automatically, without user intervention each time you start the BitDefender Rescue CD and there is an available Internet connection.
BitDefender Rescue CD is a BitDefender re-mastered Kubuntu distribution, which integrates the latest BitDefender for Linux security solution into the GNU/Linux Kubuntu Live CD, offering a desktop antivirus which can scan and disinfect existing hard drives (including Windows NTFS partitions). It doesn't require a key or registration to use it.
At the same time, BitDefender Rescue CD can be used to restore your valuable data when you cannot boot Windows. You can also save files to your pendrive with this CD. However when you use a pendrive it's advisable to use an empty one because there is a high chance that it may corrupt your existing files in the pendrive because the Rescue CD is based on a Linux distribution.

PS: I have tested it in many PCs and it doesn't work in all of them. This is mainly due to the Linux Video Card drivers: at the very end of the booting process you are stuck at a black screen. For years, Autorun-based malware has been atop of the worldwide e-threat landscape, with notorious representatives such as Trojan.AutorunInf, the Conficker worm (Win32.Worm.Downadup) or Worm.Autorun.VHD.
The USB Immunizer (Freeware) is BitDefender's response to this growing issue. This small utility is divided in two sections.
The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections with autorun-based malware. Even if your storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itself.
The Immunize Computer slider allows you to toggle the autorun feature On or Off for any removable media (except for CD/DVD-ROM devices). If you accidentally plug in an infected USB drive that has not been immunized, the computer will not auto-execute the piece of malware located on the USB storage device.
Limitations: Runs advertisements for Bitdefender products. Asks for your email on exit for their mailing list. Both can be ignored.

BitDefender Security Scan:BDSC is a free tool which provides information on the speed, stability and security issues which may affect a Windows machine. BDSC generates a detailed report on the status of any security threads and registry errors.
Though BDCS can be run with any other Antivirus or Internet Security software, it is worth mentioning that BDSC is not a replacement for any Antivirus or Internet Security Suite. Furthermore, BDSC cannot remove a virus or malicious items from your PC. BDSC was devised to only scan the PC.

BitDefender 2011 Uninstall Tool:It is important to uninstall any previous edition of the BitDefender software in order to avoid any problems of incompatibility of the programs of the new edition to the previous edition. Whatever edition of the BitDefender software is going to be installed, it is essential that the computer should be first clear of the previous edition of BitDefender.
Only (Start => All Programs => BitDefender 2011 => Repair or Remove => In the wizard that appears select "Remove") you should make use of the BitDefender Uninstall Tool (Freeware) in accordance with the following procedure:
